# Scandinavian Sunset
Lake Västra Silen, Sommarvik (Årjäng)
One of my first sunsets ever that I shot with my first own camera at the age of 14 – that’s 36 years ago now.
In the summer of 1988, shortly after my confirmation in church, we went on a journey to Norway and Sweden for three weeks with the whole confirmation group. The highlight was a canoe trip on the Swedish lakes in total wilderness for one week, taking our food, tents, sleeping bags etc. with us on the boats. But of course we also visited a lot of other sights in the two remaining weeks. It was a great travel adventure.
Here, as a 14 years old boy, I took a lot of photos with my first own camera, the analogue Yashica Kyocera compact cam that I got as a gift for the confirmation. Most of the time it was loaded with Kodak Gold 35mm films.
Original analogue photo captured 1988 with Yashica Kyocera AF-J 35mm analogue camera
with Yashica 32mm f/3.5 lens.

# Yesterday’s encounter with a Sparrowhawk at Forest Farm, i got Within 5 feet , then stopped to give it a respectful distance, and I didn’t want it to fly off. Not often you see these close close up . Still a bit stunned.
